We are extremely proud of Marc Paré’s outstanding performance in yesterday’s semi-finals and finals at the 2025 PWA Tenerife Grand Slam, where he showcased the full potential of his new Blacktip Team Carbon – which is available to pre-order from your favourite Simmer Style Dealer for delivery end of September.
In classic El Médano conditions—light winds and head-high sets—the world’s best riders were given 16 minutes to prove their skills. Even before the first heat, it was clear Marc meant business. While others waited, he was already on the water, fine-tuning his setup and making sure every detail was dialed in. That commitment paid off.
Marc delivered the two highest scoring heats of the entire contest—a 22.33 in the semis and a 20.39 in the final—securing a well-deserved win as he defends his 2024 event title. Just as importantly, the result tightens the gap between him and World Tour leader Marcilio Browne.
In the final, Marc launched the biggest jump of the day, scoring an 8.27 for a massive double forward. Paired with seamless full rail turns and technical frontside 360s, it was a masterclass in wave riding—and enough to put him at the top of the current event leaderboard.
We also want to send huge congratulations to Moritz Mauch, who charged his way into the quarter-finals—driven almost entirely by his radical wave-riding style. His performance in Round 2 was a standout, taking down Marino Gil with one of the highest wave scores of the event: 14.96 points in a single heat. Pure wave mastery.
And on the women’s side, UK Wave Champion Cori McFarlane proved she’s a force to be reckoned with—putting together a series of strong, confident heats that carried her all the way through to the quarter-finals. A powerful showing from one of the rising stars of the tour.
Go Marc. Go Moritz. Go Cori. Go Team Simmer.
