X-Over Wave
940 USD – 1,060 USDPrice range: 940 USD through 1,060 USD
The third generation Evoq redefines X-Over windsurfing – true plug-and-play performance in any condition, more fun no matter what the day offers, from pumping waves to flatwater blasting. Redesigned to feel even lighter in your hands while delivering predictable power across a wider wind range than ever before.
The new design features the same premium scrims seen on the Blacktip Pro, improving how load is distributed along the sail body for razor-sharp reactivity.
A further development is the new one-piece Ripstop mast sleeve, fitted with a slightly straighter luff curve that frees up energy in the mast to enhance maneuverability and forward drive to plane early, gybe easily and create drive in turns. All patches and reinforcements have been reconfigured to improve performance longevity, reducing stretch and shape change over time while also bringing the overall weight down.
To maximize performance in all conditions, the Evoq features 4 battens from 3.7 to 4.7 m², while the 5.0 to 6.5 m² sizes incorporate a 5-batten layout. This strategic design allows for precise batten spacing, ensuring the ideal balance of draft and stability. The main window of the 3.7 to 5.3 m² sizes is constructed with wide-spaced X-Ply for durability and confidence in demanding conditions, while the larger sizes utilize monofilm to maximize visibility and performance. Versatile enough for experienced wave sailors and weekend warriors alike — the Evoq has you covered no matter the environment.
Who is the Evoq for?
The Evoq is the best choice for any rider looking for a sail with constant power delivery, tailored for a wide range of conditions — from wave and bump-n-jump, bridging over to freeride in the larger 5-batten sizes.
Designed to Maximize in All Conditions
True plug-and-play performance, delivering the same powerful performance as its predecessor, now with improved maneuverability, wind range and forward drive as a result of improved load distribution throughout the entire sail body, which allows for the use of less luff curve, creating a lighter and more crisp response.
Reduced Weight, Improved Longevity
New premium materials including VX-Ply, Bi-Ply foot panel and a new one-piece Ripstop mast sleeve + new sail body cutline reinforcements give the sail greater longevity, reducing stretch and shape change over time. Designed and optimized to keep the sail feeling light and crisp for many epic sessions.
Otimized Aspect Ratio Flow
Higher aspect ratio on the 5 battens sizes progressively dropping to a lower aspect ratio in the smaller 4 batten sizes to achieve a more maneuverable and lighter feeling.

Split Batten Lineup
The Evoq features a split batten lineup for ultimate handling throughout all sizes. The 3.7 to 4.7 feature a 4 batten panel layout, and from 5.0 to 6.5 a 5 batten panel layout. The main benefit is that we can design the sail with the exact needed distance between the battens needed to achieve the right feeling for draft and stability. The sail sizes are progressively designed in both construction and sail profile. The smaller sizes have less sail profile, and the larger ones offer more low-end grunt for getting going in marginal conditions.
Panel Layout Designed for Load Alignment
Form follows function: every panel and patch in the layout is strategically aligned with the sail’s specific load paths across all sizes. The performance benefits are substantial:
VX-Ply Vertically Aligned Panels
Vertical load alignment distributes forces from clew to top, delivering optimal release and a wider active skin tension area — replacing the need for traditional top stretch control.
The new VX-Ply significantly reduces sail deformation compared to the previously used Q-Ply material, cutting vertical stretch by more than 20% in high-load areas. It’s also 30% thicker than Q-Ply, making it far more durable.
The result: sharper responsiveness, a wider wind range and enhanced durability.
Durable Foot Panel
A Scrim designed for maximum puncture resistance and tear strength, used in the lower impact zone in the sail body.Â
Custom tapered CGF battens
Each batten in the Evoq features a customized CNC-machined taper and material layup, carefully engineered to maintain the sail draft in the exact position required for ideal performance. Our battens are built with over 50 layers of fiberglass, laminated under extreme pressure to achieve the maximum strength-to-weight ratio.
