Premium Board Construction
With the launch of our 7th generation of windsurfing boards, we continue to set a new level in the industry. We have already proven that our boards are amongst the best in both quality and performance of all production boards. Throughout the years, we have maintained less than 1% of warranty rates on our wave boards, including the boards that our talented team riders, Marc Paré, Alessio Stillrich, Kai Katchadourian, and Ben Proffitt, test and torture daily. The main reason for this is our high quality of workmanship in the factory, that we only use the finest materials available, and our unique construction, including the Electric Flex Construction featuring our Load Distribution Stringer.
Load Distrubtion Stringer
The PVC Sandwich stringer is the spine of the board, absorbing and distributing the forces from impacts throughout the board’s construction. This eliminates unnecessary breakage, as stress is shared throughout the hull, creating a much more durable construction. The stringer also helps to maintain the rocker curve during maneuvers.
Accurate Shape and Weight Control
All Simmer EPS foam blanks are CNC cut to 1 mm accuracy. All laminations are made in climate-controlled molds, so no after-finishing is needed, and the amount of resin in each board is extremely accurate. This effectively means that the shape, quality, and weight accuracy are very exact.
Custom Carbon Finboxes
Our custom-built fin boxes are manufactured from high-density PVC Airex and carbon, which makes them extremely strong and lightweight. This is what allows us to use 5 x slotboxes without adding too much weight.
Superior Fittings
Screws for footstraps and finboxes high tensile stainless steel. Both foot straps and slotbox fins are adjustable with the included T20 Torx tool.
Superior Material Selection
We only use the highest quality materials, including the highest grade PVC foams to military grade carbon and fiberglass. All meticulously tested and approved in the world’s toughest test labs – Hookipa, Jaws, Gnaraloo, Pozo, Punta Preta and Luderitz only to mention a few.Â
Self Regulating Goretex Airvent
All Simmer Style wave boards come standard with the self-regulating Goretex © Airvent, which prevents any unwanted pressure from building inside the board, minimizing the risk of delamination, even during air travel. You never need to unscrew your air vent again.
Carbon Airex Core Fins
The construction features a carbon/fiberglass exterior, molded with a laminated infusion process onto a Airex foam core structure. This makes the fin extremely lightweight while maintaining strength and stiffness. The Simmer Style composite fins are one of the lightest wave fins on the market; they weigh half the weight compared to traditional G10 fins.
