The Ace is our dedicated freestyle sail, designed to give maximum lift, stability, and easy ducking. The key strength of the Ace is its ability to go from completely neutral to full power in an instant. The tight leech allows you to effortlessly duck the sail through the wind into a backwinded position. The Ace features a lightweight panel layout that makes handling a breeze. The high-cut foot allows the sail to move around your body position without throwing you off balance and this combined with the Dacron panel along the luff will provide you with instantaneous power to direct into your moves. The Kevlar Stretch Control System keeps the draft in place as well as making the sail more durable.
The Ace features large monofilm panels, which give a more direct feeling and provide a more effective power delivery. The panel layout also features a lightweight Q-Ply in the luff panel, combined with a vertical kevlar load line from top to tack. This helps to control the profile as well as the longevity of the materials, hence a lightweight sail that will stay intact for many seasons to come.
Dedicated freestylers will rig the Ace with less downhaul with a tighter leech for maximum lift, freestyle wave riders can choose to apply slightly more downhaul for more control in a wider range of conditions. Our design team has also fine-tuned the aspect ratio with slight adjustments to the mast and boom lengths that have further improved the balance between low-end power and high-end control, allowing you to get on your smaller sizes earlier and stay on them for longer if the wind picks up.

Kevlar load line from top to tack to control the central effort; increase the longevity of the material which ensures that the sail profile stays in position when strong gusts hit the sail.
// Q-Ply Luff Panel
The 2 MIL Q-Ply luff panel creates a softer and more forward-focused power delivery. This combined with the strength provided by the vertical load line maintains the profile stability and durability.
// Kevlar Stretch Control Tendons
The Kevlar Stretch Control Tendons distribute the load throughout the surface of the sail from clew to luff. They control the breaking point for the twist, increase the wind range, and increase the longevity of the sail. An original Simmer Style feature that has been widely adopted by many other sail brands.
// Precision Tapered Battens
Precision tapered battens on the lower batten. The taper is custom designed on each sail size to push the sail profile forward and keep the draft locked in for stability. The Ace features a neutural batten profile from the batten above the boom and upwards.
// Finger Patch Tendons
The Finger Patch Tendons in clew create greater load distribution over a larger area of the sailcloth surface, which increases the durability, as well as the direct handling of the sail.
// Stainless Steel O-Ring
The Stainless Steel O-Ring provides the strongest possible connection between the boom outhaul and the sail, providing direct power delivery and sail. Simmer quality defined.
// 3D Moulded Tack Fairing
Manufactured from heat-molded closed-cell foam to offer maximum protection and minimal weight without water absorption. Includes an uphaul hole for a clean attachment of the uphaul rope. Neoprene front piece makes it easy to fold the tack fairing back when threading the downhaul rope through the sail’s tack pulley. .
// 5 MIL X-PLY Foot Panel
The most durable laminate scrim on the market. 100% polyester film, 150 microns thick, with high stretch resilience thread reinforcement in an X-pattern. The layers of film are bonded together with a UV resistance glue. The Ace features X-Ply paneling in the foot panel and clew area to handle hardcore crashes seen in freestyle.

// Tight Leech Design
The tight leach allows you to use every ounce of power in the sail, and thus be able to use smaller sails than a comparable sail with a loose leech. The tight leech also ensures full control during spinning moves and gives you the springy pop you need to boost technical high-power maneuvers.
