Marc Paré’s Signature Carbon Scrim Sail
990 USD – 1,170 USDPrice range: 990 USD through 1,170 USD
We started working on the Team Carbon Project immediately when Marc came back to the Simmer Style team in the beginning of 2024. Our objectives were to utilize characteristics of the new premium materials to make the most high performance and lightest wave sail ever made by Simmer.
The new carbon scrim material has allowed us to completely redesign the panel layout, reinforcements, and luff curves. We have also worked closely with the sail factory with new production techniques, and with the material supplier to create the best specifications for our new carbon scrim.
Besides trying to make the sail lighter, we’ve been actively trying to make it stronger, by redesigning patches and reinforcements for optimal load distribution. For instance, we introduced welded carbon scrim patches to replace traditional stitched darcon in the foot panel and in the top. All to create a stronger and lighter construction.
The clew section has also been redesigned and now features overlapping clew panels. The converging carbon fibers from the panels with different warp orientations, create a stronger clew section with improved load distribution through the main panel. On top of this, we’ve also added carbon scrim batten pockets to radically improve the control and stability of the sail.
Key Performance Advantages

” The outcome has been nothing but mind-blowing; a powerful light sail that is super maneuverable and direct, has an enormous wind range and offers a very smooth easy handling. It offers the low end power and drive, to get you planning early and help you drive through turns, with an extended trim and upper range to be able to handle the sail when over-powered. You will feel the draft position won’t move when you get powered up, which will make the sail feel really stable and easy to handle when conditions get harsh. Whether if you are going for high jumps or rotational moves, you will feel the sail is super easy to control and nimble while in the air. On the other hand, when you pull the trigger to spin into a rotation, you will feel immediate responsiveness and a fast spin, all while keeping the smoothness and control that characterizes it.”

New Mast // SX10 RDM Team
To unlock the full performance potential of the Blacktip Team Carbon, we’ve developed the new SX10 Team RDM. The key benefits include a more locked-in shape in the lower battens, smoother twist dynamics, and an even faster, more reactive feel across the entire rig. While the recommended mast remains the SX10 RDM, the SX10 Team is the choice for riders seeking absolute top-end performance.
