Marc Paré’s Signature Carbon Scrim Sail
990 USD – 1,170 USDPrice range: 990 USD through 1,170 USD
The all new Blacktip Team Carbon will bring your wave sailing to the next level, as it has done for current World Tour leader, Marc Paré. Engineered with our new ultra-technical carbon fiber scrim, its fibers are precisely aligned along the sail’s load paths for instant power transfer and ultimate control. The result: lightning-fast response, massive wind range, and effortless handling — pure performance without compromise.
The new carbon scrim material has allowed us to completely redesign the panel layout, reinforcements, and luff curves. Traditional dacron patches have been replaced with welded carbon reinforcements for optimal load distribution throughout the entire sail body, maximizing the active sail area and overall performance.
The Team Carbon incorporates several advanced technical upgrades. The clew section has been completely redesigned with overlapping panels, where converging carbon fibers in different warp orientations create a stronger structure and improved load distribution across the main panel. On top of this, carbon scrim batten pockets have been added to dramatically enhance sail control and profile stability.
This has been Marc Paré’s passion project since returning to the Simmer Style team in 2024. It represents one of the most extensive R&D efforts in the company’s history. Our goal was to harness the unique properties of premium materials to create the highest-performance, lightest-feeling wave sail ever made by Simmer — built to meet Marc’s demands on his journey to becoming Wave World Champion.

Panel Layout Designed for Absolute Load Alignment
Form follows function: every panel and patch in the layout is strategically aligned with the sail’s specific load paths across all sizes. The performance benefits are substantial:
Immediate response and control – carbon fibers are precisely aligned with load paths, distributing force instantly for maximum efficiency during critical maneuvers.
Enormous wind range – Team Carbon is engineered for efficiency at both low and high wind, giving full control in overpowered conditions without sacrificing low-end drive.
Effortless performance – light, balanced, and nimble in maneuvers, delivering instant response and explosive rotation the moment you commit.
The Carbon Scrim
The new carbon scrim material has allowed a complete redesign of the panel layout, reinforcements, and luff curves. With carbon fibers aligned along the load lines, the sail distributes forces efficiently, making it more reactive, agile, and effortless in maneuvers. Energy transfers instantly, delivering a crisp, direct response when sheeting in or pumping. Stretch control tendons are no longer needed, as each carbon fiber filament acts as a tendon across the sail surface. Despite its lightness, carbon scrim is highly durable, maintaining performance and feel over time for a faster, more responsive ride.
Durable Foot Panel
The 5 MIL X-Ply foot panel is reinforced with a Carbon Scrim patch along the leech, providing added durability and a carbon tendon to efficiently distribute loads in this high-tension area. For maximum strength, these patches are welded, creating stitchless reinforcement for superior durability.
Layered Clew and Foot Panels for Extreme Load Performance
The Gradient Panels in the clew and foot feature overlapped panels that reduce patching while transitioning loads more efficiently into the sail body, reducing stretch over time. Split luff panels radiating from the head and tack corners align the material perfectly with load directions, eliminating bias stretch, increasing power transmission, and enhancing longevity. The result is a lighter, quicker-reacting, and more stable sail.
New Mast // SX10 RDM Team
To unlock the full performance potential of the Blacktip Team Carbon, we’ve developed the new SX10 Team RDM. The key benefits include a more locked-in shape in the lower battens, smoother twist dynamics, and an even faster, more reactive feel across the entire rig. While the recommended mast remains the SX10 RDM, the SX10 Team is the choice for riders seeking absolute top-end performance.

The outcome has been nothing but mind-blowing; a powerful light sail that is super maneuverable and direct, has an enormous wind range and offers a very smooth easy handling. It offers the low end power and drive, to get you planning early and help you drive through turns, with an extended trim and upper range to be able to handle the sail when over-powered. You will feel the draft position won’t move when you get powered up, which will make the sail feel really stable and easy to handle when conditions get harsh. Whether if you are going for high jumps or rotational moves, you will feel the sail is super easy to control and nimble while in the air. On the other hand, when you pull the trigger to spin into a rotation, you will feel immediate responsiveness and a fast spin, all while keeping the smoothness and control that characterizes it.
