TWIN CAM FREERACE

580 USD630 USD

The S Max is the ideal dual-purpose high-performance sail for both Freeracing and Wind Foiling. If you want to go fast, whether, on a foil or a fin, you need control. The S Max features superb stability that a cambered sail offers, a short boom for better control, and a forward-focused and powerful sail profile. The S Max offers quick and simple rigging, great low-end power, stability when under max power, and smooth camber rotation. Featuring the latest vertical shaping profile, and light-weight monofilm batten pockets. S Max offers race sail performance, but in a user-friendly and easy to handle twin cam, 6 batten configuration. The S Max rigs on both SDM and RDM masts for the ultimate in adaptability. Therefore the S Max comes standard with one extra camber, the TEKCAM Reduced which allows you to rig your S Max on an SDM as well as an RDM mast. To get ultimate performance from the S Max for foiling, rig with slightly less down to give the sail a tighter leach. This will create a more stable draft for foiling.

RDM vs. SDM
The bend curve of the SDM and RDMโ€™s are compatible with one another, but the RDMโ€™s are more durable, therefore more suitable for punishing wave conditions. SDMโ€™s provide a faster reflex response, better stability, and faster acceleration, especially in lengths of 460 cm or longer, therefore more suitable for flatwater sailing in the larger sizes.

1 // Six Batten Layout
Great low-end power, stability when under max power.

2 // Deep locked in profile
The S-Max is the best for any rider looking for race-level performance with addictive acceleration in a user-friendly, twin-cam setup due to the powerful sail profile.

3 // Kevlar Stretch Control Tendons
Distributes the load throughout the surface of the sail. They control the breaking point for the twist and increase the wind range.

4 // Precision Tapered Battens
Precision Tapered Battens on the lower two battens. The taper is designed to push the sail profile forward and keep draft locked in for stability.

5 // Cutaway
The cutaway clew has an extremely positive influence on the sailโ€™s agility and handling, and allows for a shorter, more rigid boom, as well as more direct acceleration.

6 // Twin Cam
The S Max features 2 x TekCam and a TekCam Reduced which allows you to use both SDM and RDMโ€™s. This setup offers great stability, smooth camber rotation and easy rigging.

5 MIL X-PLY
The most durable laminate scrim on the market. 100% polyester film, 150 microns thick, with high stretch resilience thread reinforcement in an X-pattern. The layers of film are bonded together with a UV resistance glue. The Icon features X-Ply paneling in the foot panel and clew area to handle wave sailing abuse in harsh conditions.

Made in USA.

MONOFILM
The S-Max features lightweight monofilm for direct handling.

S-Max stands for Stability. Capable of effortlessly handling those random gusts and shifts, S-Max uses a 2-Cam profile to give Freeriders the control and predictable power band that is so essential in the intermediate level of Windsurfing. S-Max also possesses deceptively fast characteristics are making it a great choice for anyone that needs the most top end out of a performance Freeride sail.
