Cori McFarlane

Cori has windsurfing in her blood, with both parents being passionate windsurfers. Growing up in Wales, with Rhosneigr just around the corner, she quickly developed into an avid wave sailor. After completing university, Cori now divides her time between the UK and Tenerife to take advantage of consistent windsurfing conditions.

While her experience has primarily been in side-onshore port tack conditions, Cori has an ambitious bucket list of windsurfing destinations she hopes to explore. In 2024, she joined the Simmer team and made an immediate impact at the Tiree Wave Classic, where she sailed her new Flywave boards (72 and 78) and 2025 Blacktip sails for the first time. She dominated the women’s fleet with powerful wave riding, winning her first heat and catching the attention of VIP judge Duncan Coombes, who suggested her skills belong on the PWA World Tour.

In a display of incredible determination, Cori overcame a broken nose sustained from a wave impact during her warm-up. Ignoring medical advice to seek immediate treatment, she returned to the water and delivered a stunning performance, clinching the UK Wave title with a memorable victory.
