The Simmer Style team delivered an outstanding performance at this year’s PWA Windsurfing World Cup in Pozo Izquierdo in some of the windiest conditions ever seen in Pozo.
Marc Paré
Marc was the first sailor to score a perfect 10 at the 2025 Gran Canaria Gloria Windsurf World Cup, landing a monumental stalled double forward in the opening semi-final. However, even with that 10-point double under his belt, he couldn’t find the ramp he needed for a pushloop forward to overtake Köster and secure a place in the final. Paré ultimately finished 4th after facing local ripper Marino Gil in the double elimination, in what turned out to be some of the most spectacular action ever witnessed in the history of the event.
Another exciting detail: Marc was competing on the final pre-production samples of his new Blacktip Team Carbon sails – now officially approved and currently in production. Check out the video below with the Team Carbon Story. The sails are set to be released very soon, so stay tuned for more info. He was also using his new SX10 Slim Wide booms, specially developed by Marc so he can rig his sails with more depth without the boom arms interfering with the sails profile.
Moritz Mauch
When it came to wave riding, Moritz Mauch was in a league of his own. He earned the highest-scoring wave of the single elimination with 8.12 points and achieved a total wave score of 14.87—the best of the round. His radical style and fluid turns carried him all the way to the semi-finals, where he delivered one of the standout performances of the event. Moritz was riding the G7 Omnia 75 along with the 2025 Blacktip 3.4 and 3.7—now also available in the striking LTD Pink colorway.
Cori McFarlane
In the women’s fleet, 2024 UK Wave Champion Cori McFarlane showcased her fearless attitude in the waves, confidently winning her first heat and posting strong wave scores in the second round. Cori is steadily tuning into the international competitive scene and is definitely someone to keep your eyes on. Cori’s tools to compete on was the 2025 Blacktip‘s and the G6 Flywave in 72 L which is now on offer, so check it out!
Yannik and Dennis Kolb Gonzalez
Remember these names: Yannik and Dennis Kolb Gonzalez! Yannik delivered a standout performance in the U15s, landing perfect backloops and throwing down powerful wave rides to secure the top spot on the podium in the Single Elimination. His younger brother Dennis followed the lead, claiming victory in the U13s with an impressive bag of tricks already under his belt. The future looks bright for these talented young rippers. Next up is the youngest Kolb Gonzalez brother—Eric. With talent clearly running in the family, it’s only a matter of time before he joins his brothers on the podium. Keep an eye out for this rising star
